It’s strenuous to work for a business that doesn’t respect their employees.
I know like this is the entire reason why unions were created in the first arena, but when business management does not respect the employees, then they do not care whether they are cheerful or not.
Managers should realize they are only as strong as their network of help. I wish the employer at the medical and recreational marijuana dispensary where I work cared about the employees. She clearly doesn’t like us at all and it makes myself and others know incredibly frustrated. I’ve been laboring there for a year. I have not gotten a raise and I have not had a performance review either. I was promised a raise after 90 days and the employer was supposed to perform my review over more than five weeks ago. The worst part about the job is having to listen to all of the clients complain. Lately it’s been the delivery services. Every one of us can’t find anyone to work at the dispensary. Every time a modern driver starts, they end up quitting a couple of days later because of the attitude that the employer has! Delivery positions are always listed on the job employment website. I know they could spend money double minimum wage and it would still be strenuous to get someone that will stay for more than a couple of weeks. I absolutely know that the owner of the dispensary would be much better off finding a modern employer to replace the new 1. I genuinely know that she is the problem and the reason why the staff morale is always so low.
