Endometriosis is a painful condition that causes tissues similar to the uterine lining to grow outside of the uterus! Endometriosis can cause extreme pain while in menstrual cycles and infertility, and i have been suffering from endometriosis for over fifteen years however I did not get a formal diagnosis until a few years ago. It took myself and others being hospitalized twice for extreme pain and a 3 hour surgery to finally get tested, then after our diagnosis, our doctor and I talked about pain treatments for this poor condition. I have been using prescription pain killers while in our stage for years to be able to function, however my doctor suggested medical marijuana as a potential treatment for our debilitating pain, then the only issue with this, is that endometriosis causes infertility. I told our doctor that I wanted to get pregnant, so she proposed against medical marijuana as a treatment while I was trying to conceive. Now that I have a baby, I am pumping which is keeping endometriosis symptoms at bay… When I stop pumping and the extreme pain comes back, I am willing to try medical marijuana for our pain. I do not love to smoke, so I guess I would rather use cannabis candy, cannabis gummies, cannabis drinks, or a cannabis brownie. Medical marijuana is not safe for breast milk so I will not use it at this time, however when our baby no longer needs breast milk I will try it, luckily our doctor told myself and others all of the steps I need to take when the time comes and I need to obtain a prescription for medical marijuana. I hope that other ladies suffering from endometriosis are aware that medical marijuana can be an alternative treatment .
