Did your parents smoke weed when you were a little kid? Am I alone when it comes to this? I have to laugh about it at times, because it never occurred to me until recently. I am in my mid 30s, and have a few children of my own. I smoke weed just about every afternoon, but I keep it secret from the kids. I only smoke outdoors, so that I don’t expose them to secondhand pot smoke and disfigure their little lungs. It made me wonder about my own parents, and if they smoked marijuana when I was a young one, the same way I do nowadays! One afternoon my kids will be grown up, and smoking cannabis someplace, and will have the same question for me. During this last weekend I stopped by to help my dad with some yard work, because he is getting totally old. I asked him point blank if he and mom enjoyed smoking cannabis when I was a kid. We did the yard work together, then went inside where dad took out a sizable glass jar filled with cannabis buds. There must have been at least six ounces worth of marjuana in there! He hand rolled the most sizable joint I have ever seen, and then my fantastic friend and I sat together drinking chilly beer and smoking cannabis for the duration of the afternoon. One afternoon I hope that I can smoke cannabis with my kids, but that won’t happen for many years to come I suppose.
